About the Hiring Company:
A new Chinese payment gateway is being established, and we are looking for a Business Development Manager to help build the foundation of this business unit. This role will be instrumental in developing partnerships, improving products, and driving strategic growth during the startup phase.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international financial partners, including gateways, PSPs, and exchanges.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (IT, Key Account Management, Sales) to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall business strategy.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies within the payment and FinTech sectors.
- Assist in business planning and preparation of regular management reports.
The Successful Candidate:
- Solid understanding of payment systems and processes within the PSP and FinTech industries in the APAC region (experience in the Chinese market is a strong advantage).
- At least 1 year of experience in the payment industry.
- Proficiency in English at an advanced level; knowledge of Chinese is a significant advantage.
- Skilled in using standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
