Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for evaluating product designs and creating processes, tools, and procedures to support the manufacturing of high-quality products.

About the Role:

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to determine product specifications and requirements. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with design engineers and commodity managers to ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving manufacturing and field challenges by applying your knowledge and skills. You will also identify and initiate process improvements to reduce cycle times and costs while maintaining quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/DFA) analysis for sheet metal, plastic injection molded, metal stamped, and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Drive concurrent engineering through communicating design, process, tooling, and material changes to manufacturing partners and design engineering peers.
  • Provide support for manufacturing and field quality issues, owning resolution of manufacturing/supplier issues and driving design issues cross-functionally.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in the manufacturing process and product development for mechanical parts and assemblies for electronics products.
  • Experience in one of the following sub-discipline: sheet metal fabrication, hard tooling fabrication, stamping, riveting, welding, molding.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling tools such as SolidWorks or Pro/E.
