Product Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to join our team. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the conception and development of new products from market definition through production and release.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice, and ensure they meet customer requirements. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and experience in product development will enable you to lead technical product development of strategic projects.

  • Lead technical product development of strategic projects from market definition through production and release.
  • Act as core team member for mechanical design and design leader for cross-functional team in concert with project manager.
  • Train colleagues on technical tools and processes.
  • Leverage understanding of competitive products and intellectual property for department.

As a Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to exercise influence within the department by participating in design reviews of colleagues' projects. You will also contribute to technical initiatives within the department and drive customer and supplier communications.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering and 8 years or more of mechanical engineering product development experience. Experience in the connector and cable assembly industry is strongly preferred.
