Senior Design Leader for Mechanical Systems

As a Mechanical Principal Engineer, you will lead the development of innovative and compliant mechanical design solutions for server computer systems and peripherals. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, documenting, and functionally validating mechanical components and assemblies.
You will also conduct and participate in engineering tests to validate the robustness and proper performance of new products. Additionally, you will interface with suppliers, electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering, and other development groups to ensure the successful development and launch of new products.
Your responsibilities will include testing, analysis, and debugging of assigned mechanical prototypes. You will contribute to the successful management and development of mechanical tooling and first samples delivery. Ensuring deliverables are met per program schedules is crucial to your success in this role.
- You will develop or participate in the development of project plans including schedule, budget, product cost, and Phase review process (PRP)
- Design, document, and monitor the validation and qualification of components and assemblies while potentially leading the efforts of others in these areas
- Proficient in the use of all engineering development tools, may lead the efforts of others in these areas
- Works across products, technical disciplines, and core team, ensuring consistency and thoroughness
- Possesses deeper and broader expertise in relevant technology and engineering tools, acts as a key project contributor, directs others
