Job Description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our FPGA team, you will be responsible for delivering new PCBA technologies and logic solutions that scale across our next-generation enterprise portfolio. You will work with a deeply technical and dynamic team of electrical engineers as well as cross-functional global teams to innovate and deliver game-changing products in the server marketspace.

You will lead the design and development of cutting-edge hardware features in partnership with front-end teams and industry partners. Your expertise in advanced system architectures, Verilog/System Verilog, and HDL coding practices will drive feature and cost trade-off analysis to provide technical recommendations.

Additionally, you will prepare documentation for inspection/testing procedures and design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 8+ years' experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging with processor, memory, and I/O subsystems
  • Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures and knowledge in Verilog/System Verilog and HDL coding practices
  • Proficient with RTL design and simulation test benches, and experience in product development from early concept through production
  • Strong fundamentals in both analog and digital design practices, with desire to share knowledge and mentor others

Desirable Requirements:

  • M.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (5+ years' experience in hardware or embedded system design, implementation, and debugging)
  • Experience with Enterprise Intel/AMD x86 Server design, including planar and system implementations
  • Experience with Lattice/Xilinx/Altera tool suites, scripting languages (Python/Batch), and Verilog verification tools (Modelsim/QuestaSim)
