Aerospace Mechanical Inspector Job Description

This position is responsible for performing inspection operations of in-process or completed hardware, including dimensional and visual inspection.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect aerospace machined components for quality and accuracy
  2. Verify FAIs to AS9102 for accuracy and completeness
  3. Use hand tools and gaging techniques for inspection
  4. Familiarize yourself with blueprint interpretation and GD&T
  5. Perform final inspection and receiving inspection

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality inspection and control
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical inspection experience preferred
  • IPC, J-STD, and Mil-Spec inspection experience preferred
