About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, strategic, and relationship-driven
Business Development Lead
to accelerate DouDou's EOR business across Asia.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-growing environment, enjoys building partnerships from zero to one, and can translate client needs into scalable EOR solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and SEA.
  • Lead the full BD cycle: prospecting → meetings → proposal → negotiation → closing.
  • Build a strong pipeline of enterprise and mid-market clients requiring EOR, payroll outsourcing, or Asia market entry.

2. Client Advisory & Solution Design

  • Advise clients on Asia employment models, EOR compliance, onboarding, cost structure, and workforce strategy.
  • Work closely with internal HR/Payroll/Legal teams to customize cross-border hiring solutions.

3. Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Establish partnerships with VCs, incubators, global HR firms, SaaS platforms, and business chambers.
  • Drive co-marketing and joint-growth opportunities.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with PeopleSearch consultants to generate leads and convert shared accounts.
  • Work with marketing on events, whitepapers, and lead-generation programs.

5. Revenue Ownership

  • Own quarterly revenue targets, client growth KPIs, and renewal rate metrics.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and market feedback to leadership.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 5+ years in Business Development, HR solutions, B2B SaaS, Consulting, or Recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of talent strategy, cross-border hiring, or EOR business model.
  • Proven track record in enterprise BD, client acquisition, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in APAC markets (SG, HK, JP, VN, TH).
  • Knowledge of payroll, HR compliance, mobility, or global employment solutions.
  • Startup, HRtech, or recruitment industry exposure.
