Senior Product Development Manager

As a Senior Product Development Manager at Dell, you will be responsible for managing high-complexity products throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes driving solution and release readiness, gathering best practices from across portfolios and business units, and collaborating with and mentoring team members in designing program management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-complexity products through entire lifecycle, ensuring dependency and deliverable tracking across products/solutions/functions
  • Drive Solution Readiness and release readiness (organization wide), ensuring a plan is in place for key corporate initiatives
  • Define the program risk management plan and drive mitigation and resolutions
  • Proliferate best practices from releases across Portfolio and BU's, driving consistent and accurate cross-functional program metrics
  • Design standard program management practices, collaborate with and mentor other members of the product management org

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge and application of engineering concepts
  • Understanding of business environment, solid understanding of the competition
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a workgroup, ability to work in a team environment
  • Cross-functional skill, communication skills, mentoring/coaching skills, negotiation skills
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to influence others to achieve results, presentation skills, financial and analytical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 8+ years with a Master's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
  • Has PC development experience is preferred
