A leading global technology manufacturer is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their Taichung team, offering you the chance to become the primary technical point of contact for key customers in the display glass industry.

What You'll Do
As a Technical Account Manager based in Taichung, you will be entrusted with managing complex customer relationships within the display glass industry. Your daily activities will centre around acting as the main technical contact for clients—addressing their queries promptly, resolving any issues related to product performance or quality returns, and facilitating communication between engineering teams. You will play a pivotal role in analysing market trends alongside customers to identify new opportunities for technological advancement. By documenting customer processes thoroughly and coordinating audits or site visits, you will ensure that every aspect of service delivery meets high standards. Success in this role requires you to build strong multi-level relationships across both client organisations and internal departments while driving collaborative projects that push innovation forward.

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for assigned customers, ensuring their satisfaction with products, services, and technical support throughout all stages of engagement.
  • Identify customer issues by clearly defining problems and distinguishing facts from opinions to facilitate effective resolution strategies.
  • Deliver timely solutions to resolve customer concerns, executing recovery actions and monitoring progress until closure with desired outcomes.
  • Clarify responsibilities regarding returned products and coordinate approval processes for compensation when necessary.
  • Suggest appropriate dispositions for returns based on manufacturing and quality assessments, collaborating closely with internal teams to drive improvements.
  • Set priorities for issue resolution, track progress diligently, and follow up consistently until all matters are satisfactorily addressed.
  • Present customer feedback and issues to internal engineering and quality review teams, reporting investigation results back to customers in a clear manner.
  • Analyse product trends and technology needs in collaboration with customers to promote technological advantages aligned with their requirements.
  • Document a thorough understanding of customer processes from design development through manufacturing to enhance product qualification efforts.
  • Coordinate quality audits and customer visits while leading joint R&D or manufacturing projects between company resources and client teams.

  • Minimum five years' relevant experience in technical account management or field application engineering roles within manufacturing sectors.
  • Ability to coordinate quality audits and lead joint projects involving research & development or manufacturing teams.
  • Adaptability regarding flexible working hours to accommodate client schedules or urgent issue resolution.
