Position Summary:

Sr. Accountant would be responsible for not only daily operation, but also ad-hoc tasks. In addition, Sr. Accountant is also expected to ensure an accurate, high quality and efficient monthly, quarterly financial close and SOX control.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to book, ensure month-end journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Performing accurate and high quality of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities for the finance not only in Taiwan, but also other related companies in different countries.
  • Strong understanding fixed asset process, including fixed asset application, physical count, deposal, and fixed asset related issues.
  • Assists in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules and worksheets, including "Budget/Forecast vs. Actual" variance reports.
  • Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance in accounting and prepare all audit requests for internal and external auditors.
  • Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company
  • Build and improve key processes and work on ad hoc projects to help leaders best allocate their resources in a rapidly changing environment.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Education - BA/BS degree desired or equivalent work experience.
  • Communication and Language skills - Organized communication skills in both English and Mandarin and both in reading and writing.
  • Customer service skills - Ability to promptly and effectively communicate with other department/vendors to achieve win/win scenarios.
  • Organization skills – Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deliverables with contending timelines.
  • Computer skills - Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook for use in customer communication. Oracle skill is preferable.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA, CMA, or Master's degree a plus

Experience:

  • 4+ years of industry and manufacturing experience or accounting firm. Oracle experience a plus.

  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter on computer
