The functions of Assistant Manager, Channel, Partners and Marketing are as follows;
- generate revenue by bringing in new customers and by cultivating existing relationships coming from referral partners,
- manage referral partnerships whether banks or non-banks,
- assist in closing and or close new partnership deals directly or with Director of Third Party Partners,
- manage a team of Partner Sales Representatives as required to achieve over all partner targets,
- generate revenue by developing new products through internal IT or partners,
- initial marketing activities to generate demand from the market.
Responsibility
- Sign and manage new and existing referral partners and maintain an active pipeline of partners.
- Provide regular updates and training to third party partners to ensure partners maintain the agreed upon number of referrals.
- Deliver the assigned business targets by identifying customers and markets with sound revenue
potentials, by managing the performance and development of sales executives that may be assigned
under him/her and by encouraging referral partners to continuously refer names for sign up
- Conduct effective negotiations and close deals with customers – merchants and referral partners – and to ensure that all direct reports are also able to negotiate and close deals effectively.
- Manage, build and develop merchant relationships and partnerships.
- Ensure all account opening documentary requirements and processes of merchants and referral
partners comply with business requirements
- Coordinate with other functions or external partners to develop new products and proper
review/develop operation to ensure smooth operation - e.g. e-wallet, QR code payment solutions.
- Coordinate with other functions to ensure operational efficiency and the proper delivery of services
by vendors/security team to merchants - e.g., POS terminal installation, card acceptance training &
fraud prevention
- Effectively forecast potential sales & revenue from new and existing markets and to identify the
required marketing activities to achieve the sales & revenue forecast
- Collaborate with management on new product development, sales support activities and new
revenue opportunities
- Participate in any necessary sales meetings and training activities, both internally and externally
- Develop knowledge of competitors' activities, industry standards, market trends, technology,
systems, and other relevant information
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Entrepreneurial character, capable of developing & executing an effective sales strategy in getting
new accounts and at the same time managing partners
- Able to plan, organize and make effective sales presentations to all types of audience
- Excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with
external customers – merchants and partners. Can close deals
- Self-motivated & adaptable to changing conditions in the workplace
- Mature and independent, able to work well with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities
- High achiever - able to deliver targets as required by the business
- Good English and Chinese communication skills
Qualifications & Experience
- BS/BBA, Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years relevant experience in the financial services industry or information technology companies.
- Experience in Channel sales management, partner management or product management is a plus, or digital
payment service development.
- Sales experience in credit card business is a plus
- Sales experience in payment industry is a plus
