Job Title: Bicycle Wheel Technician

We are seeking a skilled Bicycle Wheel Technician to join our team. As a key member of the wheel development team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our wheels meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily testing, including setup, teardown, and report writing. You will also work closely with the development team to coordinate testing requirements, ensure proper maintenance of machines, and develop new tests and test fixtures as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily testing, including setup, teardown, and report writing.
  • Work closely with the development team to coordinate testing requirements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of machines.
  • Develop new tests and test fixtures as needed.
  • Educate suppliers' labs on test standards, results, and logic behind the tests.
  • Manage inventory of parts before and after testing.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college degree in a technical field (B.S. in engineering or manufacturing).
  • Skilled in assembly, tensioning, and truing a bicycle wheel.
  • Ability to assemble and maintain all parts of a modern bicycle.
  • Familiarity with part inspection, including basic handheld inspection tools.
  • Communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations regarding function, fit, and finish of components.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Avid cyclists and good bike mechanics preferred.
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and promote a positive work environment.
