We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Applications Engineer to join our global team.

Job Description

The primary focus of this role is to provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of wafer metrology and inspection products in customer fabrication facilities.

  • Responsible for providing technical support, making presentations on product features and capabilities.
  • Conduct acceptance tests, train customers, set up recipes, execute projects, and participate in pre-sales activities.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs.
  • Provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
  • Report regional requirements and updates to the product division, escalating field application issues as necessary.
  • Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors, collaborating with customers and the division to maximize the benefit of wafer inspectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Physics, Optics, Engineering, or Material Science, with semiconductor process knowledge being a plus.
  • Demonstrate independent research and problem-solving skills.
  • Be willing to work in a semiconductor clean room environment.
  • Have good presentation and report writing skills.
  • Display strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Show excellent communication, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English through email, conference calls, and face-to-face meetings.
