About the Opportunity:

We're looking for a sharp, curious, and mission-driven Business Operations Associate – Risk Management to join our growing team at BTSE. This role is at the front lines of safeguarding our users and ecosystem from malicious actors. You will lead in analyzing scam patterns, designing risk mitigation strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a secure platform experience during daily operations as well as throughout the launches of marketing campaigns.

• Monitor, analyze, and investigate suspicious activities, particularly related to scam cases and user behavior anomalies by aligning with internal resources and external tools to speed up the mitigation actions. 
• Conduct in-depth investigations into high-risk transactions, extracting insights to identify emerging fraud patterns and potential vulnerabilities.
• Perform feature mining and behavior analysis to uncover trends and develop intelligence that proactively protects users.
• Design and implement targeted risk mitigation strategies, focusing on effectiveness, scalability, and long-term platform safety.
• Develop user-facing alert mechanisms and intervention strategies to identify and assist potential scam victims in real time.
• Partner closely with internal teams including Marketing, Product, Development, Technology, Customer Support, Legal, and more to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to user protection.
• Drive operational initiatives with a data-first mindset, continuously improving how we detect, respond to, and prevent risk across the ecosystem.

• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Risk Control, Fraud Prevention, or related roles, preferably within crypto, fintech, payments, banking, or financial services.
• A strong passion for protecting users and a tenacious, detail-oriented mindset when it comes to identifying scam behaviors and tactics.
• Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal—with the ability to influence across departments and levels.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional, international teams in fast-paced environments. A proactive self-starter who's not afraid to dig deep and adapt in a dynmaic landscape.

• Knowledge in Data Intelligence BI Tool and data processing skills with Python and SQL is a plus.
