Role Overview  

This role is for a Program Manager within the Taiwan Business Management Team at Coupang. The successful candidate will be a strategic, data-driven leader responsible for driving complex, cross-functional programs crucial to the success and expansion of Coupang's e-commerce business in Taiwan.

What You Will Do 

As a Program Manager, you will be a central hub for cross-functional initiatives critical to the success of the Taiwan e-commerce business. This role is inherently ambiguous and requires a high degree of adaptability, strategic thinking, and leadership without direct authority.

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Identify, define, and launch complex, multi-functional programs to achieve ambitious business goals for the Taiwan e-commerce platform. Examples include market penetration, operational efficiency, and customer experience improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Alignment: Partner closely with and influence various stakeholders—including Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and local Business Development teams—to secure buy-in and resources necessary for program execution.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Deep dive into large, complex datasets to identify performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities. Use these insights to inform program strategy, prioritization, and executive reporting.
  • Execution & Timeline Management: Own the end-to-end management of program schedules, progress, and risks. Drive teams toward demanding, non-negotiable deadlines, ensuring objectives are clearly communicated and achieved on time.
  • Process Scaling & Documentation: Design and implement scalable, automated solutions (or robust Standard Operating Procedures, where necessary) for managing new programs and ensuring long-term operational excellence across functions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define clear success metrics, develop mechanisms for tracking program performance, and clearly communicate progress, results, and critical challenges to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications  

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, business operations, program management, or e-commerce, preferably within a high-growth or fast-paced technology company.
  • Exceptional Strategic and Analytical Capabilities: Proven track record as a general problem solver who can dissect complex business problems and synthesize data into actionable strategies. Fluency in data analysis is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated Ability to Influence without Authority: Experience leading large-scale projects and achieving results by influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity and Speed: Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment, operate independently, and demonstrate strong personal ownership in defining scope and achieving goals where direction may not be fully defined.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with global stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with data visualization and reporting tools; proficiency with SQL and Tableau are strongly preferred.
