What you'll do:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise AI strategy that supports the organisation's long-term business goals and ensures alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Design and oversee operational frameworks for AI initiatives, guaranteeing seamless integration across multiple business units and functions.
  • Apply deep expertise in Generative AI to identify, pilot, and scale innovative solutions tailored to biopharma challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with internal partners to advocate for AI adoption, ensuring initiatives are well-integrated with the strategic vision of the company.
  • Establish robust measurement systems to monitor the effectiveness of AI projects, providing regular progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Partner with People & Culture teams to design targeted training programmes that enhance AI literacy throughout the organisation.
  • Lead change management efforts related to AI adoption, fostering an environment receptive to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing between technical experts and business leaders to ensure mutual understanding of project goals and outcomes.
  • Champion best practices in project management, time management, and communication within cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously scan emerging trends in AI/ML technologies relevant to life sciences, recommending actionable insights for future growth.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business (or Management), Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline; Master's degree or equivalent experience in a computational field is highly desirable.
  • Over ten years' experience in strategy roles such as corporate strategy or management consulting at top-tier firms.
  • Demonstrated expertise applying artificial intelligence or machine learning within life sciences settings such as drug discovery companies or academic research groups.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes across teams and organisations through collaborative leadership.
  • Comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies in artificial intelligence and machine learning relevant to biopharma applications.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills with capacity to communicate persuasively at all levels of management while thriving in cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level thinking and building credibility within large organisations.
  • Advanced project management abilities including time management mastery and facilitation of effective meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills encompassing negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, adaptability in communication styles.
  • Experience successfully adapting strategies to meet evolving requirements within complex organisational structures.
