Machine Learning Innovator

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Innovator to join our team. As a member of our Core Engineering Group, you will play a key role in shaping the future of on-device AI and machine learning.

Our breakthroughs have unlocked the transformative potential of 5G, sparking possibilities that will reshape industries and generate employment. At the heart of this revolutionary era, we are committed to on-device AI leadership.

As a Machine Learning Innovator, you will contribute to system software, tool development, maintenance, and evolution for various ML computing SDKs tailored for Qualcomm processors. You will collaborate with neural network frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow to amplify the SDK's capabilities. Additionally, you will extend our neural net engine to support the latest DNNs emerging from the research community and optimize for next-gen hardware acceleration cores.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in fine-grained AI operation performance analysis and optimization. They will also have experience in low-level programming for efficient hardware utilization and knowledge of optimizing algorithms and libraries for GPU/DSP/NPU execution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, optimize, profile, and analyze AI computing operations running on Qualcomm NPU
  • Deliver high-quality code working with open-source software communities
  • Work with key technical specialists across Qualcomm, partners, and customers to improve libraries for commercial use cases and/or industrial benchmarks

Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python. Experience in low-level programming for efficient hardware utilization, optimizing algorithms and libraries for GPU/DSP/NPU execution, and fine-tuning performance-critical applications on edge devices is also required.
