The New Product Introduction team is responsible for introducing new Roku TVs to the market. We work on everything required to bring a new product to market from concept phase to mass production. This involves collaborating with vendors and channel partners as well as various teams within Roku to ensure we deliver high-quality products to our customers.

As an Embedded SW QA Manager at Roku, you will lead and manage a team of experienced automation engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include shaping the automation strategy, driving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality software releases. • Develop and implement scalable automation frameworks tailored for TV OS testing, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Define test automation strategy by establishing best practices for automation testing, balancing test coverage, execution speed, and reliability.
• Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and product managers to align automation efforts with business and technical objectives.
• Identify bottlenecks, enhance automation pipelines, and introduce cutting-edge tools and methodologies to accelerate product delivery.

• Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performance team, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Architect and implement robust automation frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Define test automation strategy, balancing test coverage, execution speed, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation efforts with business objectives.
• Drive root cause analysis and improve defect detection through automation.

• 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks for embedded systems, smart TV platforms, or consumer electronics.
• 3+ years working as a manager or similar role with experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing automation engineers.
• Expertise in UI, API, and system-level test automation for TV OS or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience integrating automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, version control (Git), and debugging techniques.
• Ability to drive root cause analysis and improve defect detection through automation.
