We are looking for a Taxonomy Manager to oversee the development, optimization, and governance of product categorization and classification across our marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define Strategy & Vision: Develop a long-term roadmap for product taxonomy to support business scalability and enhance customer journey.
  • Lead Governance & Automation: Establish an overarching governance framework and drive initiatives for AI-driven classification and automation.
  • Drive Business Impact: Define and own KPIs connecting taxonomy performance directly to revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Influence & Mentor: Act as the organizational thought leader on product data, influencing senior stakeholders and mentoring teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience, with a track record of leading major taxonomy programs in e-commerce.
  • Expert in using data to drive catalog strategy; deep knowledge of AI/ML classification, ontologies, and large-scale data governance.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience implementing and scaling AI/ML-driven taxonomy systems in large-scale e-commerce platforms, with a strong understanding of multilingual and cross-border classification challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve product discoverability and customer experience through optimized taxonomy, connecting performance to key business metrics such as conversion rate, GMV, and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership and strategic influence, with a track record of mentoring teams, driving cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to thought leadership in taxonomy, metadata, or product data governance.
