Visionary Product Development Director

Dell's Special Vehicles Team (SVT), part of the Experience Innovation Group, is seeking a skilled Product Development Manager to work directly and cross-functionally with technologists, extended engineering and product core team members to bring innovation concepts to life. SVT is responsible for delivering technology demonstrations, proof of concepts, advancing Dell's leadership in innovation.

The Visionary Product Development Director will be responsible for managing and driving the investigation and incubation of new technology and form factor experiences, with cross-functional technologists and internal and external partners.
- Manages a matrixed engineering team and leads evaluation of new technology and hardware form factors, proof of concepts, ingredient identification and development with technologists and partners. Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the engineering organization through responses to the market requirement documents and detailed functional specifications.
- Audits the entire engineering process from concept definition to release, ensuring timely delivery and budget management. Develops prototype build plans in coordination with engineering extended teams. Guides ODM activities, coordinates build and allocation of prototype systems. Drives initial triage, debug, and resolution of engineering defects.
