Job Title: Global Logistics Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced logistics coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials across international borders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage export documents, including commercial invoices and carrier waybills, to facilitate international shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations by accurately reporting mandatory data to government agencies.
  • Provide pre- and post-shipment support to sales teams, including documentation requirements and customs clearance issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
  • Screen transactions for license determination in accordance with export regulations.
  • Catalogue department records and maintain files according to retention policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business objectives.
  • May negotiate rates and conduct audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of transportation operations and world geography.
  • Ability to apply working knowledge of organization, job practices, and procedures.
  • Performs functions semi-routine in nature and recognizes need for occasional alternative solutions.
  • Work is performed independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Collaboration with other departments or teams may be required.

Education and Certification(s):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

  • Possession of basic understanding of transportation operations necessary to understand logistics events and create solutions.
  • Position may require travel.
