Senior Electrical Engineer - Concept Development

Dell's Special Vehicles Team (SVT) is seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to work with technologists and cross-functional teams to develop innovative concepts. SVT delivers technology demonstrations and proof of concepts, advancing Dell's leadership in innovation. This team brings together experts in multiple development disciplines to introduce innovative solutions and advance technology development for customers.

Our Electrical Engineering team drives hardware development from ideation to concept. Experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing, debugging, and validation deliver state-of-the-art concepts. We work closely with designers and cross-functional teams to ensure electronic designs meet requirements, including schedule, feature set, functionality, and quality, as well as industry standards. We foster innovation through individual and collective ideation.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing concept Electrical designs that are robust, innovative, and executed with key partners and ODMs.
  • Working with a global team to execute concepts.
  • Partnering with technology suppliers and partners, including ODMs and first and second-tier integrators.

Essential Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as an electrical engineer with core electrical concepts expertise.
  • PC and/or mobile architecture knowledge and a track record of work in the field.
  • Innovative streak in your work and ability to solve situations requiring out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Team player with strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, internal and external to the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Requirements

  • Ability to understand and translate ideas to concepts.
  • Executive presentation skills.
