Leading Electrical Engineering Expertise
The Electrical Senior Principal Engineering Technologist role at Dell is a pivotal position that requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies. This individual will be responsible for providing electrical engineering insight into the technology roadmap, identifying and scoping projects around innovation opportunities and technology risks, and executing designs for complex systems backed by thorough engineering analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and influence the shaping of future products by providing electrical engineering expertise.
- Drive innovation and risk mitigation by identifying and scoping opportunities and risks.
- Develop and execute complex system designs with thorough analysis.
- Collaborate with ODM partners and technology providers to gather information and release requirements.
- Generate intellectual property to protect innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 14+ years of work experience in design of electronics packaging.
- Extensive experience in designing complex electro-mechanical assemblies with an expert understanding of block diagrams, schematics, layouts, electrical analysis, power analysis, thermal dissipation, PCB stack-ups, and DC to DC power design.
- Strong communication skills with other company team members and the customer as required.
- Experience with CAD systems and Gerber data.
- Familiarity with x86 platform design on Intel/AMD/Nvidia and strong relationships with industry key technical providers.
