Ignite Search Partners is a specialist recruitment firm supporting high-growth technology and industrial companies across Asia.

We are currently hiring on behalf of a fast-scaling, hardware-driven business with international operations and a focus on operational excellence.

As part of their next growth phase, the company is seeking a Procurement Director to lead strategic sourcing, optimise supplier performance, and ensure robust cost control across BOM and OPEX spend. This is a hands-on leadership role well-suited to professionals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments with high ownership and impact.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to relocate to Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive BOM cost savings through supplier negotiation, contract improvement, and sourcing strategies
  • Reduce OPEX spend via cost-saving initiatives and vendor optimisation
  • Enforce budget discipline with ≥95% adherence to BOM and OPEX allocations
  • Improve supplier performance across pricing, quality, and delivery through structured reviews and improvement plans
  • Streamline procurement workflows to shorten lead times and ensure material readiness for scheduled builds
  • Support broader operational scaling and process tightening (e.g. maker-checker, DoA, ERP integration)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Ability to speak both Chinese & English
  • 10+ years of procurement/supply chain experience, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven track record in cost control (BOM/OPEX), supplier management, and negotiation
  • Experience working with Chinese suppliers and global contract manufacturers
  • Background in hardware manufacturing environments with ECN-driven, agile decision-making
  • Demonstrated success turning around underperforming procurement functions with measurable results
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and data analytics tools for procurement and inventory
  • Experience in growth companies undergoing internal control implementation would be a plus
