The Job
As Head of Ocean Freight, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding our ocean freight product in Taiwan and across the Asia region. This is a dynamic, high-impact leadership position with broad engagement across internal teams, customers, ocean carriers, and global partners—including the SGL network. Your mission is to deliver smart, scalable solutions that elevate customer satisfaction and strengthen our market position. You'll be at the forefront of product development, driving innovation and commercial success in one of Asia's most strategic logistics hubs.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with ocean carriers, local logistics partners, and key stakeholders. You will promote the ocean freight product both externally and within the organization, design competitive pricing and customer-centric solutions, and continue to develop Taiwan's inbound and outbound offering. You'll monitor market trends to ensure our portfolio remains competitive, lead strategic initiatives in close coordination with regional teams, and provide mentorship and leadership to your team—fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
Qualifications
- Bring
8–10 years of experience in ocean freight
or logistics leadership roles - Possess deep expertise in ocean operations, commercial strategy, and
carrier management - Proven ability to build
strong relationships with ocean carriers
, customers, and global partners - Communicate with confidence and clarity, with
fluency in spoken and written English - Embody a results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for business development
- Thrive in a fast-paced, matrix environment with diverse stakeholders and dynamic challenges
- A collaborative team player with a pleasant personality and natural
leadership presence
