While on a visit to Iceland in 2017, our team was introduced to the science of converting warm water into electricity. Recognizing the massive potential for geothermal applications, we founded Baseload Capital to fund geothermal projects worldwide.
In 2018 we established Baseload Power to develop and operate these projects. Today, we have power companies operating in Iceland, Japan, Taiwan and U.S, working towards our vision of a planet in balance.
Through a global partnerships and project portfolio, our mission is to scale up geothermal energy worldwide.
Our Core Values: The Foundation of Our Work- Resilient: We adapt to ever-changing environments, take responsibility for our actions, and work hard to bring about a balanced planet.
- Impactful: We stay clear on our goals, making thoughtful decisions, and ensuring every effort drives real change. Through teamwork and strong partnerships, we hold ourselves accountable and always get things done—making a difference where it counts.
- Pioneers: We dive into new markets and income streams, never letting the risks of being first deter us from doing what we believe is right.
As a Senior Project Manager at Baseload Power Taiwan, you'll play a key role in driving renewable energy projects from concept to operational power plants. Positioned between hands-on execution and strategic oversight, you'll manage project activities across permitting, contracting, engineering, logistics, and stakeholder coordination—while guiding cross-functional teams toward successful delivery.
This is a role for someone who is ready to step beyond project support and coordination, taking on ownership of delivery while still working closely with the Project Development Lead and senior management to align with company strategy.
If you enjoy variety in your work, and want to help build something that matters, this is your opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of projects from early-stage planning through construction and handover.
- Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring progress against schedule and budget.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving challenges proactively.
- Coordinate permitting, procurement, vendor management, and contract administration to keep projects compliant and on track.
- Oversee reporting processes (technical, commercial, and financial), ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with company standards.
- Support negotiations and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on project risks, status, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to developing and refining internal processes, applying lessons learned to strengthen Baseload's project execution model.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Master's a plus).
- 7+ years of experience in project management within energy. Renewable energy or geothermal experience is highly meritorious.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost monitoring, and procurement.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with external contractors.
- Ability to review and interpret technical and commercial documents (contracts, RFPs, schedules, etc.).
- Skilled in stakeholder management, with proven ability to balance technical, commercial, and regulatory priorities.
- Fluent in Mandarin; proficient in English for effective communication with international teams.
Personal Qualities:
This role will suit you if you're proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to anticipate project needs before they arise. You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapt smoothly to shifting priorities, maintaining focus and momentum even when plans change.
As we will be reviewing applications continuously, please submit your application as soon as possible, in English.
