Senior Project Manager
with a strong background in software development to lead and deliver strategic projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This role focuses on execution excellence, resource coordination, and ensuring stakeholder alignment—not on defining product requirements, but on managing their implementation efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage the entire lifecycle of software projects from initiation to release, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery that meets business goals and quality expectations.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Product, Engineering, BD, Marketing, business operation team and Executive teams to ensure aligned priorities, smooth handoffs, and effective execution.
- Resource Allocation & Budget Oversight: Strategically allocate team resources, tools, and budgets. Ensure availability of the right capabilities at the right time, and monitor expenses to optimize project ROI.
- Timeline & Milestone Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with clear milestones and dependencies. Continuously track progress, preempt delays, and re-align plans to stay on course.
- Product Requirements & Scope Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and refine product requirements. Assess the feasibility of proposed scopes by identifying cross-team dependencies and aligning them with available resources. Convert business needs into actionable specifications, ensure clarity on what's in/out of scope, and manage feature prioritization across planned releases.
- Agile Project Execution: Guide the planning, sprint execution, and backlog management for multiple large-scale projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ensure version planning and team velocity are balanced.
- Stakeholder Communication & Expectation Alignment: Serve as a key liaison between executive leadership, business units, and R&D. Ensure all parties are aligned on goals, trade-offs, and progress through clear, timely updates.
- Documentation Ownership: Maintain and update essential project documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle. This includes the tracking of BRD/PRD progress and associated delivery milestones. Ensure project process states (e.g., planning, in progress, completed) are well-documented and accessible.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential risks early and proactively remove blockers. Navigate trade-offs and provide data-informed decisions to keep projects healthy and moving forward.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve project management processes, tools, and templates. Champion operational efficiency and promote best practices across teams.
- Collaborative Leadership & Team Development: Foster a supportive, accountable, and growth-focused environment. Provide mentorship to junior PMs and contribute to overall team capability building.
Requirements
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management within the technology sector. Experience in the blockchain or trading industry is a strong plus, especially with proven familiarity in managing its unique challenges and regulatory dynamics.
- Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end projects with attention to planning, coordination, and delivery. Experience managing cross-functional teams, driving timelines, and ensuring execution within defined scope and budget.
- Technical Background: Hands-on experience or strong understanding of object-oriented analysis, design, and software development. A technical foundation enables you to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand complex development cycles.
- Process & Documentation Ownership: Skilled in maintaining key project documents including BRDs, PRDs, and technical design documents. Capable of tracking project process states and maintaining clear documentation of scope, progress, and change history.
- Business Acumen: Ability to synthesize technical and business inputs to inform execution strategies. Understands how to align project deliverables with broader business objectives and product priorities.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Able to explain technical ideas clearly, drive alignment across teams, and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with Web & Online Platforms: Prior experience working with web-based systems or online platforms is highly valued. Familiarity with digital environments supports your ability to manage relevant projects and teams more effectively.
- Team-Oriented Mindset: Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced, interdisciplinary environments. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are key to motivating teams and driving cross-functional alignment.
