Head of Technical Department 

Job Overview

Our Client  is a leading solar developer and EPC headquartered in Taipei that finances, constructs, owns and operates solar projects across Taiwan and Japan

Through its one stop services, the team has developed and constructed more than 500MW of projects in Taiwan and Japan. With its local and international track records, the business is set to become a regional leader in the renewables revolution

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead all the technical and supply chain aspects in the development phase and work with other internal teams to ensure that projects can be delivered with robust engineering solutions at the lowest cost.
  • Skills dealing with local subcontractors, negotiation / reducing costs.
  • Deliver technical support to the Business development team to deliver solutions to reduce the cost of energy, consistent with safety by design.
  • Supervise technical studies made by consultants and review designs engineering documents from contractors.
  • Oversee procurement documentation and lead technical evaluations.
  • Manage and control any budget and costs.
  • Support the Business development team for the development of Taiwan solar market.
  • Identify technical and economic risks of projects and participate in risk management plans.
  • Act as a safety leader and role model for the project by demonstrating a strong safety culture and values in all aspects of the role.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of engineering and industrial best practice and liaise with shareholder colleagues to ensure that comply with latest and best practice guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in solar project development and management.
  • Familiarity with solar energy market trends and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of PV system design, installation, and operation.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
