
Engineering Solution Specialist

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in engineering, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be responsible for evaluating and understanding customer needs, developing action plans for problem resolution, and presenting solutions to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and understand current customer needs, anticipating future requirements and building long-term sustainable relationships and solutions.
- Develop action plans for problem resolution and present them to internal and external customers.
- Ensure effective communication channels are established, including phone, email, and presentation, to facilitate efficient and consistent customer follow-up.
- Develop improvements for processes, hardware, and software to continuously enhance ASM equipment and business operations. Coach and mentor lower-level Field Service Engineers to higher skill levels.
- Project manage new evaluations and present results to clients, ensuring the success of the project.
- Lead new site start-ups, planning, and risk assessment for readiness and execution to achieve customer recognition and satisfaction.
- Define project scope and resource planning together with Business Units, escalating to Managers for resource gaps.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision on complex problems while meeting project/task timelines, objectives, and goals.
- Support Customer Support Engineers, Sales, and Business Units as one team to ensure successful site-based operations and service.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a team environment with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Bachelor's degree or above in an engineering discipline.
- 0-3 years or above of technical experience and deep business perspective preferably in the Semiconductor/Capital Equipment/CVD related industry (EPI, CVD, or PECVD relevant experience is a plus).
- Basic troubleshooting techniques in repairing complex microprocessor-controlled electromechanical systems.
- Strong positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communications in English/Mandarin.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work independently and/or with limited supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
