We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

  • This role will involve providing technical support for the development and implementation of wafer metrology and inspection products in customer fabrication facilities.
  • You will be responsible for making presentations on all aspects of the products, as well as conducting acceptance tests, training customers, setting up recipes, executing projects, and participating in pre-sales activities.
  • Assist sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs, and provide follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.
  • Report regional requirements and updates to product division, and escalate field apps issues to division for issue fix.
  • Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors, working with customers and division to maximize the benefit of wafer inspectors.
  • Generate Best Known Methods (BKMs) and publish technical papers.
  • Traveling to customer sites is required.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Physics, Optics, Engineering, Material Science, semiconductor process knowledge is a plus. Demonstrate independent research and problem solving.
  • Must be willing to work in semiconductor clean room environment.
  • Good presentation and report writing skills.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English through email, conference calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Be self-driven, yet a strong team player.
