Key Role Summary

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Audio Tuning Customer Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our customer engineering group, you will be responsible for working with OEM/ODM partners to design and develop IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms.

Your primary focus will be on understanding every aspect of customers' requirements and designs, communicating effectively with internal product and development teams, and resolving feature development and product commercialization issues in a timely manner.

You will also be responsible for providing instructions and on-site support to customers to resolve voice/audio performance and quality issues quickly.

In addition, you will identify problems reported by customers, report Qualcomm bugs to the development team, and provide analysis until the root cause is found and bugs are fixed.

Finally, you will manage customer voice/audio project issue tracking and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 1-4 years of experience with audio/vocal post-processing module tuning (DRC/IIR/Echo Cancellation/Noise Suppression)
  • Familiarity with ACQUA/Klippel measurement
  • Experience with Qualcomm Fluence algorithms tuning for carrier requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with on-target development and debugging in embedded environments
  • Familiarity with Vodafone/AT&T/TMOUS carrier specifications, tuning, and analysis (a plus)
  • Experience with Microsoft TEAMS certification tuning and process (a plus)
  • Digital signal processing expertise (digital filtering, echo cancellation, speech recognition)
  • Experience with or knowledge of Qualcomm Audio/Voice Subsystem (such as microphone, codec, speaker design) in hardware/software (a plus)
