About the RoleThe Senior Rack Mechanical Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing high-performance rack level solutions, including IT, Networking, Liquid Cooling hardware, and cabling. You will manage projects from conception to delivery, working with internal teams, ODMs, and suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes.
A key aspect of this role is your ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and customers to solve complex thermal/mechanical problems. Your expertise in CAD software and simulation tools will enable you to develop and implement efficient testing and troubleshooting methods.
Your Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement high-performance rack level solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions.
- Design and develop efficient testing and troubleshooting methods using CAD software and simulation tools.
- Present technical information to leadership and customers, communicating complex ideas effectively.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field, or 2+ years with a master's degree.
- Proven track record of solving complex thermal/mechanical problems from the IT hardware level to the data center level.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools, with a deep understanding of hardware and software interactions.
- Detailed knowledge of rack form factors, specifications, and industry standards.
