Job Title:

Senior Thermal Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Thermal Engineer to join our global quality and engineering team.

You will play a critical dual role in both thermal performance design validation and supplier quality management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure that thermal solutions meet stringent product and reliability requirements while maintaining high supplier quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Thermal Engineering (Approx. 50%)
    • Participate in the thermal design review and validation process for electronics cooling.
    • Assist and participate in thermal simulation and modeling efforts to support product development and supplier proposals.
    • Collaborate with R&D, mechanical design, and systems teams to optimize thermal solutions from concept to mass production.
    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to thermal performance issues during EVT/DVT/PVT.
    • Support thermal lab test setups, thermal measurements, and correlation analysis with simulation models.
  • Supplier Quality Engineering (Approx. 50%)
    • Manage thermal component suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with company specifications.
    • Develop and implement supplier quality strategies including APQP, PPAP, and FAI for new product introduction.
    • Conduct on-site supplier audits to assess process, quality system, and manufacturing capability.
    • Lead 8D/5Why/FMEA activities for supplier-related quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
    • Work with suppliers to improve manufacturing process capability and reduce variability.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in thermal engineering, supplier quality, or manufacturing engineering in the electronics or hardware industry.
    • Familiarity with supplier quality tools and methodologies.
    • Hands-on experience with thermal simulation tools.
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for thermal components.
    • Experience working with tier-1 suppliers in Taiwan and China.
    • Fluency in Mandarin and English.
