About the team 

The TV Technology team within the Roku TV NPI group focuses on delivering the best Audio Quality (AQ) and Picture Quality (PQ) and driving innovation. With tens of millions of TVs sold globally, thousands of channels, and billions of hours streamed on Roku TVs, worldclass AQ and PQ are essential. This role sits at the intersection of factory based NPI execution and platform evolution maturing today's factory workflows into an online, data driven system that aligns with our long-term QA platform vision. 

About the role 

You will collaborate closely with Display, Software, and NPI teams and with factory engineering to deliver high-quality audio solution during new product introduction. The role combines hands-on audio QA at the line, understanding of audio/acoustics with the progressive digitization of QA workflows and automation, establishing data feeds from test stations, supporting analysis that improve yield, and reduce manual reporting.  

What you will be doing 

• Work on audio QA automation for NPI 
• Build and maintain test stations 
• Set up data capture, storage, and access so results are easy to use without slowing the line. 
• Use statistics (yield trends, outliers, Cp/Cpk) to speed root cause and protect KPIs (FPY, escapes, TTRC). 
• Work closely with factory and engineering on bring-up, audits and failure analysis. 

We're excited if you have 

• 7+ years in audio product development/manufacturing/test/QA; 3+ years building production Python automation. 
• BS in EE/SW or equivalent; MS in Acoustics/EE/SW a plus. 
• Clear English communication with factory, engineering, and leadership. 
• Strong acoustic measurement understanding/experience 
• Hands-on NPI factory experience and practical statistical quality methods. 
• Proficient with Python  
• Experience moving test results from stations into storage 
• Experience with prototyping, mechanical integration, and electroacoustic transducers; loudspeaker modeling a plus. 
• Some MATLAB experience
