We are seeking a multifaceted, professional and technical individual, who will be responsible for technical selling and support of Siemens EDA's leading-edge digital implementation solutions.
The Aprisa P&R Application Engineer will be responsible for working with the account managers to resolve sales execution strategy by identifying and qualifying engagements based on customers' needs and business opportunities, defining evaluations and/or benchmark criteria and executing the relevant technical campaigns to meet established goals, enabling Aprisa adoption and deployment into customers' production flows and providing outstanding support to ensure customers' success and broader use of Siemens EDA Aprisa solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists Account Managers to determine sales execution strategy by identifying and qualifying the match-up between customer needs and Siemens EDA's P&R solutions.
  • Has multifaceted experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve sophisticated issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Has advanced-level product knowledge for a wide-range of products or flows.
  • Uses advanced technical and business skills to drive Siemens EDA product into customer projects and to recognize and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Typically interacts with senior-level personnel at customer sites and determines methods and procedures to drive business into the assigned account.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires minimum of 7+ years of proven experience in EDA or digital IC physical design space.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial place & route tools like Synopsys-ICC2/FC, Cadence-lnnovus or Aprisa is a must.
  • Hands-on experience leading or working on IC design tape-out, P&R evaluations or benchmarking engagements in advanced node designs.
  • Expertise in core P&R stages (floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and static timing analysis), root cause analysis and debugging.
  • Expertise in netlist to tape-out flow and meeting power-performance-area (PPA) and time-to-results (TTR) goals.
  • Good understanding of hierarchical design and low power design
  • Must enjoy working with customers and multi-functional teams. (sales, product management and R&D, marketing)
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and Taiwanese (Mandarin) are a must, and good presentation skill is helpful
  • TCL, Perl or Python scripting is helpful.

Academic:
Bachelors in Electronics and Communication (E&C) or Electrical or Telecom Engineering.

Masters or equivalent experience in VLSI or Microelectronics is a plus.
