  • Strong platform debug capability and issue reproduction skills – able to independently analyze, isolate, and reproduce hardware and platform-level issues reported by customers.
  • Advanced debug expertise for hardware and platform systems – capable of end-to-end issue investigation across hardware, firmware, and OS interfaces.
  • In-depth understanding of standard embedded system buses, wired connectivity, and protocols, including I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIe, and GPIO.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer architecture with strong understanding of Architecture–based CPUs, chipsets, and platform design principles.
  • Solid understanding of Client products and ecosystem
  • Extensive lab and debug experience at both ingredient and platform levels, proficient in using industry-standard tools such as protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Experienced with debug and analysis tools, including DCI, PTAT, Power and Thermal Analysis Tool, System Scope Tool, IO Margin Tool, and PowerHouse Mountain.
  • Proficient in schematic and layout review, hardware soldering/rework, and signal measurement for detailed root cause analysis.
  • Capable of full debug environment setup, including Windows OS installation, BIOS/firmware configuration, and complete BKC deployment.
  • Experienced with preliminary analysis tools, such as BSOD Debug Advisor and System Debugger, to identify system-level issues and determine escalation needs.
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (English and Mandarin).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering or equivalent with 6 – 10 years of relevant experience
  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills, and ability to drive issues to closure are essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency across English and Mandarin
