Board-Level Hardware Engineer

Primary Job Scope:


• Assisting in optimizing power consumption for customer boards


• Performing hardware reworks


• Submitting circuit reviews


• Repairing NESG customer reference boards


• Working independently, with no day-to-day direction provided.

Secondary Job Scope:


• Performing software validation tasks, including:

o OPS performance tests

o ME/vPro tests

o Driver/BSP issue/patch tests

o WHCK/WHQL tests


• Summarizing IPS sightings for NESG Taiwan


• Assigning customer-reported issues to dedicated engineers via the sighting system


• Maintaining the system for releasing NESG Taiwan-developed camera drivers


• Managing demo/validation units in storage, including coordinating with other teams to monitor devices in compliance with regulations


• Managing CRB board logistics

Qualifications:


• Familiarity with power circuits and PMICs on Intel platforms


• Experience with power optimization tasks and understanding of S0iX power states in Android and Windows


• Ability to identify the correct combination of drivers and firmware to reduce power consumption


• Skilled in debugging and repairing boards using schematic and layout files


• Capable of performing board reworks for debugging and validation


• Able to coordinate review tasks and generate reports for customers


• Daily tasks are varied, non-routine, and differ in complexity
