The Plot Thickens: Job Description – Account Director
- Champion the agency's reputation and culture by embodying leadership, creativity, and strategic excellence across markets.
- Act as a trusted business partner to clients — providing strategic communications counsel that aligns with business objectives and drives competitive differentiation. Develop and execute integrated MarComms strategies leveraging owned, earned, and paid media channels.
- Lead multiple client accounts and regional projects, ensuring profitability, quality of service, and award-worthy outcomes.
- Mentor and inspire account teams, fostering talent development and creating future leaders within the agency.
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships (including C-suite), positioning yourself as a key advisor and influencer.

- Drive new business development through strategic insights, compelling presentations, and expansion of client relationships.
- Apply deep understanding of technology, media, and industry ecosystems (e.g., semiconductors, IoT, supply chain) to connect trends with business impact.
- Integrate digital thinking into all communication plans — blending traditional, social, and owned media with measurable impact.
- Maintain a strong media and analyst network, developing innovative approaches to influencer and non-traditional media engagement.
- Deliver exceptional written and verbal communication, elevating the quality of all client and agency outputs.
- Lead the identification and creation of scalable Hoffman Agency (HA) products and methodologies for regional replication.
- Partner with leadership to anticipate human-capital needs, enhance team structure, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Contribute to agency growth initiatives such as off-sites, "lunch bucket" presentations, and cross-regional knowledge sharing.

The Hero's Background: Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; postgraduate or MBA qualification is a plus
- 8–12 years of experience in public relations, integrated communications, or marketing — preferably within an agency environment
- Proven success in leading regional or multi-market client accounts with measurable business impact
- Deep understanding of the technology, B2B, or digital ecosystem — able to connect insights across industries such as IoT, semiconductors, or supply chain
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate client business goals into compelling communication campaigns
- Demonstrated expertise in media relations, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement at senior and C-suite levels
- Hands-on experience managing cross-functional teams and mentoring mid-level leaders to success
- Solid grasp of digital and social media trends, analytics, and integration of owned, earned, and paid channels
- Excellent presentation, writing, and client consulting skills — persuasive, articulate, and confident under pressure
