We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Executive to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably in the retail or department store industry. You will handle key financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our day-to-day and periodic reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping, voucher preparation, and manage accounts receivable (A/R) reconciliations with department store statements, including GUI issuance.
- Handle accounts payable (A/P) settlements, along with bank and treasury-related matters.
- Prepare month-end and year-end closings, including statutory reporting.
- Develop account breakdowns, reconciliations, and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Manage VAT filings and ensure timely submissions.
- Conduct mid-year and annual stock counts.
- Support annual audits for finance and tax purposes, preparing audit schedules as requested by auditors.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations, guaranteeing accurate and timely filings.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required to support the finance team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (required).
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, with preference for experience in the department store or retail industry.
- Prior auditing or accounting experience at an accounting firm is highly preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong numerical aptitude, a positive work attitude, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Stable personality with meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
