We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with strong hands-on experience across Oracle Engineered Systems, Database High Availability, Linux, and Cloud infrastructure. This role will work directly with enterprise customers on complex deployments, cloud migration projects, and mission-critical system operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Oracle Engineered Systems (e.g., Exadata, ODA) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Troubleshoot hardware, OS, networking, storage, and system-level issues on Engineered Systems across on-premises, public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Assist customers in their Infrastructure Journey to Cloud, including system-level migration from on-premises to OCI-based architectures.
  • Support installation, configuration, patching, firmware updates, monitoring, and performance troubleshooting for Engineered Systems.
  • Work closely with CSS customers to ensure successful deployment, operation, and optimization of Engineered Systems in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Participate in system implementation projects, including hardware upgrades, virtualization deployments, capacity expansion, and infrastructure integration.
  • Provide 24x7 critical support coverage when needed.
  • Interface directly with customer IT teams to diagnose issues, provide solutions, and recommend preventive maintenance and best practices.
  • Create and maintain standardized documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures for system environments.
  • Escalate product defects or complex issues to Oracle engineering teams when required.

Preferred Skills / Experience

Engineered Systems / Cloud / OS

  • Hands-on experience with Engineered Systems (Exadata, ODA) or similar enterprise hardware platforms.
  • Solid understanding of OCI foundations, cloud networking, compute, storage, and identity concepts.
  • Strong experience with Unix/Linux administration.
  • Familiarity with KVM or other virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Exposure to Big Data / Hadoop environments is beneficial.

System Infrastructure & Operations

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, firmware, OS, networking, and storage layers.
  • Understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations, monitoring, security, and HA/DR concepts.
  • Ability to perform system upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c/13c is an advantage.
  • Experience working as a system engineer within a mission-critical environment.

General Requirements

  • Good understanding of Oracle support processes and SR handling.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud or hardware support roles (OCI / Engineered Systems experience preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Some travel may be required for training or customer visits.
