Join us on building the next generation embedded systems for Pixel phones and wearable devices. Our mission is to provide efficient 4G/5G embedded wireless platform with Google technologies on Made-by-Google products. Our technology is full-stack, and includes drivers/RTOS/firmware, cross-platform frameworks, Android programming, developer tools, and development/testing infrastructure. We work with early hardware prototypes, design cool new next-gen features, and ship consumer hardware.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.



Responsibilities
  • Design and implement embedded software for modem platforms, including new features and core software.
  • Develop software frameworks and bring up new hardware prototypes.
  • Create and implement factory calibration and test systems for new hardware.
  • Optimize system performance by designing and tuning algorithms, and create developer tools.
  • Build automated test systems for validating features, measure performance, and ensure compliance.
