Assaya builds universal assay readers for mass -scale RAPID testing, and a scalable bioinformatics platform for tracking symptom augmented antigens, post natural or artificial infection antibodies, and chemical/biological markers in humans, animals and nature on a global scale. We are acutely focused on bringing to market affordable and highly scalable medical diagnostics devices, supporting cloud based bioinformatics and digital chain of custody services, and are hiring a team to join the journey and help deliver the mission. We are also building up a portfolio of low environmental impact consumables that are used in early diagnostics and detection of diseases and pathogens in humans and animals, as well as chemical and biological markers for environmental and food quality testing. We are looking for an energetic and highly self -motivated person with experience in getting products made. Taiwan is an amazing and unique place in the universe, where you can get anything designed and built. The person we are looking for with work directly with the R&D team to build electronic products as well as environmentally friendly plastic free test -kits for detecting antigens, antibodies and chemical markers. Sometimes we have crazy ideas, and need to quickly source a company who can make pieces from bamboo, recycled cardboard, or some other environmentally friendly material that someone just invented. The person we are looking for will handle building existing products by visiting our existing network of factories, and constantly be on the lookout for new vendors that could help us in the future building better products for humanity, and must be passionate about how the things are need can be made sustainably and responsibly.Requirements The person we need must have a broad knowledge, but not necessarily in -depth knowledge of building products, such as electronic circuit boards (PCBs), aluminum parts with extrusion or CNC, injection molding, packaging, labels, stickers, making documentation, and keeping track of payments, receipts, etc. If you have any former design experience of electronics, such as schematics or PCB, Cadence, OrCad, or Allegeo, that is fantastic - but not required as long as you can understand how basic electronic components work and how to identify them. You must speak and write Chinese fluently, and since most factories use Taiwanese, it is very desirable that the person also speak Taiwan's local language, and most importantly be able to communicate with the foreign design staff in English.  You must have a car or scooter - ideally both, and must be able to drive to locations all over greater Taipei City, New Taipei City, and sometimes factories in the middle or southern parts of Taiwan as well.  An additional plus would be if you can use tools like SolidWorks and Adobe Illustrator to create and modify drawings, labels, and documentation.  The way you will work is to work with the design team on an existing or new project to find new, or work with an existing base of qualified suppliers to actually get prototypes built, fine -tuned, and eventually get them into mass production.  You will need to collect receipts, get quotations, and keep track of payments and costs, and work with accounting to ensure that vendors get paid and make assessments if prices are reasonable and fair, and often find multiple sources for the same product to ensure business continuity. You will have access to our office, but your work hours and location will be flexible, and you may need to work while being on the road. Much of your time will be spent visiting vendors and suppliers, and you must be the type of person that likes to connect with people, take over, maintain, and build up relationships with vendors.  The perfect person for this career is someone that knows how Taiwan's amazing supply chain works, someone that is eager to be a part of designing new and exciting products, and that loves to solve problems.  Benefits There are may benefits in working at assaya.
