Currently we are looking for a capable and independent individual to review, approve and stamp the submission documents from the contractor in the scope of Facade/Roof/Cloud/BMU.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Review and approve construction drawings, contractor's quality and construction plan, material and equipment inspection reports, construction inspection and checking reports, system functional and operational testing reports, for compliance with specification and contractual design requirements
  • Witness design verification testing, inspect visual mock up, check quality assurance system implied by the contractors, provide technical supports at installation in relation with design
  • Participate in day to day management/coordination of all design review activities as required
  • Regular liaison with the client's representatives, JV members and other project parties as required
  • Keep clear records on all submissions received and issued, and general progress reports to Site Team Lead and Technical Manager
  • Identify and report any changes (variations)
  • Ensure Arup's best practices are implemented, and fairly and effectively represented on site.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineer from an accredited university with a Professional Engineering Registration status
  • Minimum 15 years' solid experience in engineering, with 8 years or above of experience in construction supervision management
  • Experience to work on project with BIM environment
  • Experience on site quality supervision for mega-scale infrastructure/building projects involving different stakeholders is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the Chinese and English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills
  • Good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be adaptable and able to work independently coupled with strong interpersonal skills

The above position based in Taipei will be on contract basis to work on a big construction project at the airport. The contract may be lengthened or shortened subject to project development. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
