Global Legal Center- Senior Legal Associate

Reporting to: Chief Legal Officer

Role Overview:

This position is part of the Global Legal Center (GLC) at Giant Group's headquarters. As the legal headquarters of a multinational corporation, GLC handles legal affairs across regions including Taiwan, Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia, ensuring compliance with local and international laws. The diverse scope of work allows you to learn in various fields and develop a global perspective.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Drafting, Review, and Negotiation –

e.g.,
handle supply agreements with key domestic and international OE clients, IT equipment and software procurement and service contracts, marketing, e-commerce, and digital experience projects, and domestic and international distribution agreements, both in Mandarin and English.

  1. Investment Projects –

Provide legal support for contract drafting, negotiation, risk management, and compliance matters related to significant investment initiatives.

  1. Corporate Governance and Legal Compliance –

Deliver corporate legal consulting and regulatory compliance services, including corporate governance regulations, competition law, and related compliance requirements.

  1. Intellectual Property Management –

Maintain TIPS (Taiwan Intellectual Property Management System), oversee intellectual property projects (trade secrets), and develop training programs.

  1. Contract Management –

Establish and update standardized Chinese and English contract templates for the group, assist in optimizing contract review processes, and provide contract review training.

  1. Disputes and Risk Management –

Provide legal supports in dispute resolutions and implement comprehensive risk management strategies.

  1. Additional Duties –

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support the organization's legal and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Law or a related legal discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct legal work experience.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • Excellent communication skills at a global scale.
