1.1.Reporting Relationships

The Finance Analyst reports to the Country Finance Lead.

1.2.Scope of Role

The role is responsible for the support of the end-to-end delivery of finance activities for a globally recognised banking and financial services sector client to enable the achievement of their real estate goals. The role will carry out a variety of end of month accounting and finance-related activities and will be required to liaise effectively with facilities, real estate services and project management peers, both within Taiwan and regionally.

The Finance Analyst has no delegation of authority per the Account Delegation and Authority register.

1.4.Key Relationships (Internal/External)
  • Country Finance Lead, Cushman & Wakefield
  • Regional, Cluster and Country Managers, Cushman & Wakefield (all service lines)
  • Client-side Operations & Finance Management
  • Lease Managers, Facilities & Minor Works Managers, Procurement and other colleagues throughout the Cushman & Wakefield business.
1.5.Job Purpose

1.6.Accountabilities
  • Assist the Country Finance and Operations Leads with the delivery of the client's annual budget and monthly forecasting for Taiwan
    • Working closely with operations teams to build and validate annual bottom-up budgets.
    • Identification of potential risks impacting the full year budget and capturing those within monthly forecasts
  • Assist with month-end accounting and finance related tasks (accruals, review and preparation of government subsidy allocations, payment processing etc), including the provision of information to client stakeholders for situations in which a dependency exists.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary SOX audit controls.
  • Provide financial data and information as directed and in a timely manner.
  • Provision of billing support and receivables management from a Cushman & Wakefield corporate perspective.
  • Provision of substantiating documentation to support balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Working closely with operations teams to ensure vendor compliance as it relates to the timely submission of invoices.
  • Working across multiple financial systems to carry out the above tasks.
1.7.Background and Experience
  • Ability to work with large datasets and transactional volumes while maintaining/ensuring accuracy.
  • Experience working with Yardi Voyager is highly desirable.
  • Focus on business partnering and the provision of a high-quality service.
  • Focus on proactive engagement with all stakeholders – relationship management and responsiveness are critical.
  • Property/commercial real estate industry experience will be viewed favourably.
1.8.Qualifications & Technical Skills
  • Business level English language proficiency.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a finance analyst or property accounting role.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools.
1.9.Personal Characteristics
  • Ability to follow instruction and prioritise workloads in high volume environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions whilst working to tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Inquisitive nature and a desire to learn (a growth mindset).
  • Takes a continuous improvement approach and treats all people with courtesy and respect.
