The
Field Application Engineer
provides technical support and expertise to clients, ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of products. Key objectives include enhancing customer satisfaction, driving product adoption, and contributing to the company's growth.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitate technical exchange between customers and sale teams to design engineer Standex products
  • Facilitate product customization and integration to meet customer requirements, ensuring seamless implementation
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, offering innovative solutions to optimize product performance
  • Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support via technology presentations and product demonstrations
  • Respond to technical questions from customers, providing thorough documentation and timely feedback
  • Gather and consolidate customer feedback to help define new products and improve existing ones
  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing application needs and troubleshooting issues
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support customer engagements, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers
  • Assist in the development of application notes, user manuals, and other technical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with factory teams to ensure effective technical support and information exchange
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to provide informed recommendations
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to support sales and implementation activities

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a field application engineering role or similar technical support position
  • Strong technical knowledge of sensors, switches, and relays and their applications
  • Ability to travel 20% to customer sites as needed to support sales and implementation activities
