Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join NZXT, a multinational leader in gaming computer technology. This role requires expertise in managing contract manufacturers (CMs) and driving cross-functional alignment with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will excel in supplier negotiations, risk mitigation, and ensuring seamless purchasing flow between contract manufacturers/Vendors and NZXT.
Responsibilities
- Serve as PO primary point of contact for OEM/ODM partners to ensure on-time delivery of components and resolve technical/commercial issues.
- Negotiate capacity and lead times with CMs to align with supply plans and production schedules.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, address supply chain disruptions through proactive contingency planning.
- Partner with Supply Planning to translate sales demand forecasts into actionable purchasing plans, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
- Coordination with Supplier Managers, collaborate on supplier performance metrics, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier diversification strategies.
- Support cost benchmarking and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses for key components.
- Work closely with the Logistics Team to optimize shipping modes (air/ocean freight), Incoterms, and customs clearance processes.
- Resolve inbound delivery issues (e.g., delays, damages) and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Execute purchase orders, and contracts with a focus on cost, quality, and compliance.
- Utilize ERP systems for PO tracking, and invoice dispute resolution.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in procurement/buying roles within the computer hardware industry, with proven experience managing contract manufacturers and global component suppliers.
- Understanding of computer hardware (e.g., Cases, PSUs, Coolers, Fans, Motherboards, Keyboards, Mice, Audio,..)
- Familiarity with CM/ODM/JDM business models and NPI processes.
- Knowledge of AI-driven procurement tools.
- Experience with VMI (Vendor-Managed Inventory) programs for high-cost components.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and data analytics platforms.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation tactics to secure favorable terms with CMs and component suppliers. Ability to communicate technical requirements to engineering teams and commercial terms to finance/legal stakeholders. Fluency in English.
