We are seeking a
hands-on Quality Engineer
based in Taipei to be the
on-the-ground quality owner
for our critical
L6–L10 contract manufacturing (CM) partners
across Taiwan. This is a vital role responsible for ensuring product quality, system compliance, and operational excellence throughout the entire product build lifecycle.

This role is ideal for a proactive leader who excels in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment and is passionate about establishing scalable, reliable, and world-class quality processes from NPI through Mass Production.

Job Summary

You will serve as the primary quality interface between our client's US-based engineering teams and their local contract manufacturing partners. You will own driving the quality management system, managing supplier quality performance, and ensuring robust inspection, audit, and test processes across all stages of production, including substrates, PCBAs, system integration, and final assembly.

You will partner closely with the client's Manufacturing Operations, Test, and Supply Chain teams to
enforce rigorous quality standards
, resolve complex issues, and ensure all manufactured systems consistently meet the tightest specifications at every production milestone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Site Ownership:
    Own and drive quality performance at L6–L10 contract manufacturing sites in Taiwan, covering substrates, PCBAs, system integration, and final test.

  • Standards & Enforcement:
    Define and enforce incoming/outgoing quality control (IQC/OQC), inspection criteria, and in-line process quality checkpoints.

  • Failure Analysis & CAPA:
    Lead detailed failure analysis and root-cause investigations on yield or reliability issues; drive robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) with CMs and key suppliers.

  • Test Integration:
    Partner with Test Engineering to ensure comprehensive test coverage, effective reliability testing, and accurate data collection at L6–L10 stages.

  • Supplier Management:
    Manage supplier quality reviews, conduct site audits, and ensure supplier certifications adhere to internal standards.

  • Metrics & Reporting:
    Track and report on key quality metrics (yield, defect rates, escapes, DPPM) with clear escalation procedures and recovery plans.

  • NPI Readiness:
    Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) to Mass Production (MP) transition by ensuring the readiness of all quality systems, documentation, and operator training.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, line quality enhancement, and supplier capability building.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    10+ years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality roles, specifically in
    semiconductors, high-end servers, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • CM/ODM Experience:
    Proven, hands-on experience managing and leading quality efforts at
    Tier 1 Contract Manufacturers (CMs) or Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) in Taiwan.
  • Quality Systems Expertise:
    Strong knowledge and practical application of core quality systems and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D, ISO/AS standards, process control).
  • Technical Familiarity:
    Deep familiarity with complex assembly and test flows (e.g., substrates, advanced packaging, PCBA, system-level integration).
  • Language:
    Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
    with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Highly analytical, data-driven, hands-on problem-solver with strong root-cause investigation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting builds for
    specialized, high-performance computing hardware or memory modules (HBM) in a server environment.
  • Exposure to reliability engineering principles (e.g., burn-in, environmental, stress tests).
  • Familiarity with test data systems and developing quality dashboards.
  • Prior experience with NPI ramp-up in a fast-moving, innovative organization.
