About The Role
We are hiring for the exciting role of Junior Accountant in our Taiwan office.

As the Junior accountant you will be managing accounts receivable (AR) aging and performing AR collection timely as well as acting as the key contact for statutory report and annual tax filing and internal audit matters.

Responsibilities
Daily

• Responsible for transmitting e-invoices through the Trade-Van system, collaborating with the invoice issuing team and SSC to resolve daily customer issues, such as issuing credit notes and handling project-related VAT refunds (requires familiarity with relevant tax laws, including the Uniform Invoice Use Guidelines and the Value-added and Non-value-added Business Tax Act.
• Review and process employee travel and expense reimbursements in the Concur system and handle related accounting tasks.

Monthly

• Handle VAT filings, respond promptly to inquiries or exception notices from the National Taxation Bureau, and prepare relevant tax reconciliation.
• Reconcile and resolve if any discrepancies or abnormal balances with customers and monitor accounts receivable collections.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes and provide accounts receivable aging reports.
• Manage payment processing in the Basware procurement system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payment procedures.

Semi-annually

• Support both internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary financial documentation.
• Ensure tax withholding is properly executed for ROC taxpayers' income from domestic sources; for non-residents, handle interim filings in accordance with regulations.

To Be Successful In The Role, You Will Have

• Previous experience in a similar role within a small to midsized accounting firm.
• Excellent Business English, written and spoken.
• Experience using SAP is preferred.
• Solid communication skill with stakeholders and clients.
• Proficient with MS Excel.
