About the Company

System 3 Labs is an AI research startup building tools for research automation in the behavioral sciences. The company is founder-led by a former business school professor with training at UC Berkeley, MIT, and Princeton. We are seeking a part-time Research & Operations Assistant to support day-to-day execution across research-adjacent work and practical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day execution across research and operations, handling a mix of structured tasks and open-ended problem solving
  • Research questions quickly and thoroughly, then deliver clear recommendations with supporting rationale and sources when relevant
  • Organize information into usable outputs (summaries, options, decisions, next steps) with strong attention to detail
  • Coordinate and follow through on logistics and administrative tasks as needed (scheduling, documentation, basic purchasing)
  • Draft and polish professional communications and internal notes
  • Maintain reliable follow-through across multiple requests, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, judgment, and follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams
  • Proficient with common productivity tools (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office)
  • Prior experience in an operations, coordinator, assistant, research support, or similar role is a plus
